I was on Kayak checking out airfares this morning when I noticed this:
Unlike Farecast, which analyzes historical data to determine if an airfare is going to become more or less expensive in the future, Kayak is just collecting data from its own users, as the note suggests.
Excellent move and feature by Kayak. Perhaps it’s been there for a while now, but I just noticed it now.
TecToy, a Brazilian designer of video game and entertainment systems, announced that they are working on a video game platform that will download games over 3G. It’s called Zeebo. Reason for no cartridges or DVDs? Avoiding piracy.
Interesting move. The gaming platform itself is not very interesting, nothing that compares to the Wii, XBox or PS3 – Brazil and many other emerging countries still sell a boatload of older generation gaming consoles. They still keep people entertained and they are cheap.

A while back I was startled to see an ad for one of those walking desks in the Wall Street Journal (paper edition). “Wow, these things are going mainstream”, I thought.
Instead of being just another passing fad, a creation from an inventive entrepreneur, it was actually inspired by medical research that puts a high value on constant movement throughout the day.
